PASADENA, Calif.—An encore performance of Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the halls of the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, May 10, leaving trh audience members captivated.
Mr. Carruthers, a co-director of a music program in Southern California and a big band pianist, was delighted by the show.
“The costuming, the dance numbers, the choreography, the music, the orchestra—I love all the instrumentation, and I love all the singers. It’s absolutely spectacular,” he said.
Mr. Carruthers moved to California from Canada 10 years ago with his wife, who is Chinese. She commented that the show was “very uplifting” and that she “appreciated it very much.”
New York-based Shen Yun presents classical Chinese dance and music in breathtaking and colorful performances that are not only beautiful and entertaining, but also educational, enriching, and uplifting.
“I can’t find any flaws in any of the performances. They are absolutely perfect. The quality of the music and the quality of the whole show is fantastic. I am very excited,” concluded Mr. Carruthers.
