GENEVA, Switzerland—Continuing the 2014 European leg of their world tour on March 12 at Bâtiment des Forces Motrices, Shen Yun Performing Arts impressed Hythem Ishuayed and the shareholders from his business.
Mr. Ishuayed said, “Our group, our shareholders, we came to the show, and we enjoyed it. Overwhelming, really, really impressive. We love the colors, the music, the way they told the story of the Chinese culture through music and dancing. It is impressive. I am speechless.”
One unique feature of a Shen Yun performance is the way stories are told through song, dance, and music. According to the Shen Yun website, “Shen Yun’s mini-drama pieces draw upon stories and legends that span China’s history from the Yellow Emperor and through the Tang and Song dynasties and all the way to the modern day.”
Another element of the performance that Mr. Ishuayed appreciated was the spiritual depth of traditional Chinese culture. He said that Shen Yun “is very spiritual, very touching. It told us a lot about the ancient rich Chinese culture, and the spiritual part of it.”
Shen Yun Performing Arts is a non-profit organization based out of New York. According to the Shen Yun website, their mission is “to revive the true, divinely inspired culture of China and share it with the world.”
Mr. Ishuayed said, “We invited many, many business partners, families friends.”
‘A very beautiful performance’
Another audience member, Gianfranco Fattorini, thought Shen Yun a unique performance and enjoyed the orchestra, he said “Yes, it’s a very beautiful performance, very well-orchestrated and that illustrates the richness of the Chinese culture. It’s a performance that one can rarely see here in Geneva.”
The Shen Yun Orchestra combines the beauty and distinctiveness of Chinese sounds with the power and precision of a Western orchestra.
Mr. Fattorini found the music relaxing, he said, “The orchestration of the performance is soothing. It’s something very relaxing, soothing for the mind.”
