KAOHSIUNG,Taiwan—Hsu Mingde, a country composer and music educator for more than 30 years, came to Shen Yun Performing Arts 2009 World Tour performance at Kaohsiung County Government Labor Affairs Bureau on March 15 with his wife.

Mr. Hsu, who is known as the “Father of music of Tungkung town in Pingtung County,” said that the production displayed the highest artistic realm of “truthfulness, compassion, and beauty.” It displayed the vivacity of artistry. The entire performance was very Chinese-oriented, and plays a significant role in promoting Chinese culture.

He particularly liked the voice of contralto Yang Jiansheng. “Her timbre was very rich, very good. Her song gave off emotions and style.”

In terms of the whole show, he said, “It was very good, very comfortable.” The multimedia backdrops made him enjoy the show even more.
