Shen Yun is ‘Eye-Opening, Culturally Broadening’

“I love it. It was great, beautiful, beautiful show. Lots of great dancing, great colors, music, very uplifting.”

“Everything was just fabulous … It just makes you feel good. It’s a feel-good show. And you learn things too, learn a few things about Chinese history, music history, the culture.”

“[The music is] beautiful. Love the orchestra … I love those uniquely Chinese instruments … Just thoroughly enjoyable.”

“In general it was very inspirational. It was cool to see all the history behind the dances, and the history behind the organization. It was all very nice, very pretty. Very beautiful.”

“There’s a lot about God and creation, end of life, beginning of life, the big picture stuff. So spiritual in essence. I saw that, I heard that.”

“It was overall very positive. I get the feeling it’s a cultural event … It’s based in New York. They want to tell the story of Chinese culture and music outside of it, so [we] hear a different point of view. It’s not just what comes out of mainland China. So I think it’s good. It’s a good thing to do.”

“I liked [that the stories] were broken into small segments, small stories. [It’s] able to keep your attention better with each one. I can’t believe they were changing costumes so much. So many different dancers and stories. It makes it more enjoyable. It really does.”

“I recommend it. It’s eye-opening, culturally broadening. It’s just fun. It’s great music. There’s nothing to say that’s not positive about it, I thought. I’m very impressed with it.”
