LONDON—Interior designers David and Margaret attended the Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company show at The London Coliseum on Friday evening, April 8.

“Colourful and energetic” was how David, who works mainly in London, described Shen Yun. “I find it absolutely fascinating. It’s amazing.” He was most impressed with the vitality of the male dancers and the elegance of the female dancers.

“I’m loving it, really loving it. It’s great,” said Margaret. “Love the dancing. It’s very impressive, because you’ve got so many people on the stage at any one time.”

The New York-based Shen Yun has about 90 artists, including an orchestra, in each of its three companies that travel the globe simultaneously—except China—to bring to the people of the world a divinely-inspired culture that was almost lost under the influence of the communist rule.

“It’s very impressive the way it’s been put on. You could tour the world with it!” said David “It is absolutely amazing that you’ve got three companies, three complete companies.”

While the Touring Company is performing in London, the International Company is in Taiwan and the New York Company is staging in California. The base for all three companies is New York.

David and Margaret attended the show in London two years ago but were eager to come again to see the new program.

Each year, Shen Yun produces an entirely new program of dances, songs, and musical scores. Its rich repertory is drawn from the pages of history, from different ethnic groups, and from universal as well as contemporary themes.

Margaret was absolutely sure she would come and see the show again, and David was in agreement with her.
