HSINCHU, Taiwan—Lin Jinwei, television and film teacher at Chi-Ying Senior High, was awed by the show of Shen Yun, which he saw in Hsinchu on March 21.
“Wonderful! Excellent! The dancers are well-trained. The stage lighting is effective. The presentation of backdrops is very good. The audience enjoyed the show very much. It’s beautiful! The performance is sincere. The realm presented in the show is very touching. Audience members are fascinated by it!”
A graduate from the National Taiwan University of Arts, Mr. Lin teaches photography and video recording. Mr. Lin was greatly moved by the unexpected excellence of the Shen Yun show. He was particularly impressed with the program The Udumbara’s Bloom, because he drew divine inspiration from it.
At first he was wondering what kind of performing group could reach “the very acme of perfection.” He was then informed that most of the Shen Yun performers are overseas Chinese who are devoted to promoting authentic Chinese culture. He greatly admired their devotion. “Very sincere. What they present is sincere beauty. We have a lot to learn from them.”
Mr. Lin felt that the Shen Yun show brought him endless serenity and peacefulness. He said that this kind of spiritual power originates in the inner power of sincerity displayed by the performers.
He said, “Beautiful things are what people enjoy. Art can be appreciated on a very high level when we pay undivided attention to it. Then viewers will be touched on the spot.”
At the end of his interview, Mr. Lin sincerely thanked Shen Yun for purifying his mind.
