Shen Yun: ‘Culturally Coming Home’

May 18, 2018

“Beautiful program. Everything was correct, full, and complete—the music, the dance, the lights, all the performances, also the interaction with the big screen [digital backdrop].

“We were sitting next to the orchestra, so we could see everything. All the [musicians] were beautiful, and this special man was sitting there. He played the violin. He was very calm. When everyone was tuning their instruments, he had only two strikes to know it was in tune. He was in the energy of the group, in the energy of the performance.”

“My father is from Canton. … Very exciting, culturally coming home. I see my roots here.”
