Seeing Shen Yun ‘One of the great thrills of my life’

“I am a retired flight attendant, I flew for Continental Airlines, mostly international, for 47 years, so I have really seen a lot of this world. This show is beyond anything that I have experienced personally in my flying career.”

“It’s the training and the technique and the synchronization and then throw in the colorful costumes, but above all it’s the spirit that comes through, and people have to see this for themselves, you cannot describe it, it is indescribable.”

“It just brings up a lot of emotions, and for instance, [the dance piece “Yellow Blossoms”] just brought tears to my eyes, when I was seeing all of the many ways that those fans can be used, and it just stirs up so much emotion, and I tell you, you cannot walk out of here and not want to pass along the good spirit that has been given to you by this performance.”

“I don’t think there is a word to describe [the Shen Yun dancers] really…I cannot really put a term to this to express the talent and the structure and the discipline and the happiness that they present.”

“[The music is] lovely, it’s peaceful, it’s calming, it’s inspirational…to be able to come and see this show is one of the great thrills of my life, and to share it with my husband.”
