I met Sadie, 6, while covering the Miss Subways exhibit that is currently open at the New York Museum of Transportation. It’s rather rare and unexpected to find a pet during an assignment like this, so I was delighted about it.

Sadie enjoys being close by when events or exhibits are being held at the museum but would rather stay just out of reach. She likes her privacy—which I noticed while running from car to car to try and snap a decent photo of her.

Apparently she has limited patience with kids, but luckily she’s slightly better with photographers.
