KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan—Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company drew people to fill the Sun Yat-Sen Hall from all walks of life.

Rotary Club Chief Editor, Lai Ji-Ying, believed that every aspect of the New York-based show was magnificent and will promote the performance in the club’s monthly journal.

Ms. Lai frequently sees shows around the world because of her passion for the performing arts.

She was very glad to see Shen Yuns’ performance because “it combines music, fine art, and theatrical elements that can satisfy the audiences’ visual, hearing and spiritual needs,” she said.

Ms. Lai described the spectrum of colors on stage as “terrific! Marvelous! The contrasting colors are bright and eye-catching, yet soft and harmonic. It really is amazing.”

The dancer’s synchronized movements also impressed Ms. Lai. “The best performance I have seen in my life,” she said, making mention of the story-dances Recalling the Great Qin and Herding on the Grasslands.

“The strength and the aesthetic feeling in the dances made me feel like dancing with the artists, I could not imagine that male artists could dance so well,” she said.

The collection of stories depicting China’s five-millennium culture, from past to present, makes people feel a part of the scenario, she said.

Ms. Lai stressed that she will introduce Shen Yun to her friends through her articles and speeches.
