Ristorante Morini, a new Italian fine dining restaurant, opened on the Upper East Side on Dec. 17, reported Eater NY. 

The restaurant is headed by Michael White, Ahmass Fakahany, and the Altamarea Group.

The menu from White and executive chef Gordon Finn (formerly with Alto) features regional Italian specialties with a modern take. 

Notable items include crudo, caviar, lobster-filled calamari, Marsala-braised snails, and a pan-roasted veal chop.

Bob Truitt heads the pastry department; Richard Anderson (formerly with Marea) oversees the wine program.
