NEW YORK—The full house of Friday night’s Shen Yun Performing Arts at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater, responded to the evening’s performers with enthusiastic applause.

Miles Grossman, a retired magazine and advertising professional, whose former employers include the Disney Channel magazine, said he was “fascinated and impressed” by Shen Yun.

“I’m taken with it—it’s beautiful,” said Grossman. He said he was “impressed with the dancers and the rhythms, I’m very impressed with the orchestra.

“The orchestra is super! What is unique for me is the mixture of Western instruments and the instruments that sound like they come from China.”

The orchestra includes traditional European instruments and traditional Chinese instruments such as the suona, the gong, and the pipa.

Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company is performing at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater in New York City, June 23–26. For more information, visit ShenYunPerformingArts.org
