CHICAGO—Returning to grace the stage of the Civic Opera House, Friday evening April 22, Shen Yun Performing Arts continued its second week in Chicago this season.

Dr. Eric Kupchick along with his wife Ms. Sheila Kupchick and their young daughter joined the enthusiastic audience. Dr. Kupchick said, “Oh, we love it. We’ve all enjoyed it and we’re looking forward to the next portion.

Mrs. Kupchick, a nurse, was highly impressed by the spirituality and artistry and said, “I like it very much. It’s wonderful and beautiful.”

She added she enjoyed how classical Chinese culture was presented and said that seeing the show enriched her knowledge, “The traditional part is beautiful. I love it, and it’s very educational and good. I like it.”

Mrs. Kupchick shared that it was actually their daughter, an aspiring ballerina, that drew their attention to the show. “My daughter saw it advertised on PBS, that’s how we basically saw it, so that’s how we learned about it.”

After seeing it advertised, the family knew they had to attend. Dr. Kupchick said, “We loved it, my daughter especially, who is here right now—she’s very excited. She’s just astounded by the talent of the entire company.”

Young Ms. Kupchick said, “I love it, it’s really cool! I think dancing is a special kind of art to some people.”

Dr. and Mrs. Kupchick both said they appreciated the live orchestra, a unique blend of classical Western and Chinese instruments. Mrs. Kupchick said, “Oh, it’s wonderful, very good. And the singing, the dancing, everything is very, very well done.”

Dr. Kupchick agreed, adding, “It’s all synthesized together very well, so we are just very impressed! Very nice show!
