Good to see you again, our puzzle enthusiasts! Are you ready for two quick brainteasers?
One is a visual picture puzzle, and the other is a math equation. Both will test different skill sets of yours: observational skills, attention time span, and basic math, of course.
So let’s head straight to the puzzle section. Enjoy.
Puzzle 1: Visual ‘Odd-One-Out’ Test
The internet is circulating hearsay that only 25 percent of people can find the one odd letter in this “toughest of eye tests.” Though this puzzle is not that downright tough, it needs some level of focus to spot the hidden critter!
You need to be sharp-eyed to zero in on the odd letters at every level of this visual puzzle. Have you got what’s needed to succeed?
Find one odd letter as fast as you can, or in less than 5 seconds. Yes, the timeframe makes it amazingly challenging, but give it a go. And if you can’t find it, you can check the answer in the end.
Puzzle 2: Math Test
If you are already here, it means you want to try one more, but this time let’s play with a math puzzle, brushing up our basics!
The catch is to solve this brain-teasing equation without a calculator; many adults struggle to solve this in their heads. Well, if you are a math expert, then let’s add another level of difficulty to this challenge—crack this equation in less than 10 seconds. Challenge accepted?
Reminder, no cheating. There are no calculators allowed. Give your brain a workout with this. Okay, here you go, let us know how fast you solve this math problem. What’s the right answer?
Did you manage to solve both puzzles? Great! Your brain is sharp and you have a good command of your attention span. Good job, you managed what most people can’t, and in a great time too!
If you missed any, check out the answers below.
Puzzle 1: Answer
Puzzle 2: Answer
If you found the math equation a little trickier than it looks, here is the answer.
The correct answer is … 104. Did you calculate out this figure, too? If not, here is how.
As we said, it’s all about the basics. Apply the order of operations: PEMDAS (parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction).
Start with the multiplication first: 25 x 0 gives us 0. That leaves us with 50 + 50 – 0 + 2 + 2, after deducting away that little zero, we arrive at 104.
If you got 104, you’re correct—pat yourself on the back. Wait for a second, yes, did you also hit the 10-second time check for this math equation? We are sure you did! And if you enjoyed these two quick puzzles, why not challenge your friends and find out who is the fastest? Share them away!
