KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan—Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company staged its third show in Kaohusiung City at the Sun Yat-sen Hall, National Sun Yat-sen University on April 7. Seeing Shen Yun for the first time, Ms. Wu Chuijuan, an oil painting instructor and member of Kaohsiung City Fine Arts Promotion Association, said delightedly, “I feel very pleased today. It has been quite some time since feeling so because everyone is so busy.”

The full-house audience was captivated by the Shen Yun dancing artists’ exquisite postures and skills in classical Chinese dance, accompanied by a magnificent live orchestra.

Ms. Wu said, “It was a little bit cool sitting in the auditorium in the beginning, but later it got warmer and warmer!” Especially when she was watching the program Herding on the Grasslands, the vivid sensation of thousands of horses galloping on the grassland made her feel as though there had been energy flowing through her body. “Truly stunning! It makes me get hot all over!” she said.

She was particularly impressed by Little Mischievous Monks, saying, “I consider the program to be very interesting. The show has reproduced the naive naughtiness, which we all have in childhood, and presented it on the stage nicely.”

Dedicated to the creation of art through her oil painting, Ms. Wu praised the dancers’ costumes. She also felt that the backdrop interacted very well with the stage performance, making Shen Yun a wonderful show with outstanding originality.
