“[Shen Yun has] an amazing amount of talent, but it’s also wonderful to see the stories of China be told this way. This is something you don’t see every day. … I would say the Chinese people should be proud of their history, proud of their legacy, and it was really touching.”

“There were parts that were very humorous. There were parts that really made you think about what these people went through during their lives. … They were told in a way that captured your interest, made you feel what it was like to be a person at that time. It was very compelling.”

“The orchestra is amazing. The quality of the musicians is exceedingly high.”

“[The music] had a lot of different components to it, depending on what the dance was about. If it was about humor, the music was perfectly aligned with that. If it was about tragedy, it was perfectly aligned with that. They did a very nice job of … capturing with music what we were seeing onstage.”

“I’m really happy that I had this opportunity to see an amazing performance.”
