Musician: ‘It’s a magnificent story of the past leading to the present’

“I thought it was a stunning, stunning performance: the choreography, the costumes, the pacing, the orchestra music. I’m a musician myself, and I certainly appreciate that it all comes together. …Just a fantastic show, and I’m glad that I was able to come today.”

“I play a saxophone and I can appreciate the many musicians who are in that orchestra, and the dedication they have to their craft. Especially, I’m interested in the Chinese instruments. They were very interesting to me, and how useful they are in portraying the culture. It’s a very, very wonderful show, and I enjoyed it so much.”

“You realise how long the culture has existed, how it has evolved over the years, and how much it is layered, one layer after another, of custom, culture, until it’s a magnificent story of the past leading to the present.”
