CHIAYI, Taiwan—Land Bank Manager Chen Zize and his wife watched the New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts show in Chiayi on March 10. They regarded the show as a beautiful art fest, which enabled them to realize the meaning of life.

Mrs. Chen thought that the dancers’ costumes, movements, and music were really terrific. The colors onstage and their texture, in combination with a variety of three-dimensional backdrops, left the audience in awe.

Of all the programs, she liked The Poet’s Vision best. “The subtitles help us have a better understanding of it, which is very good.”

In addition, Mrs. Chen said that she felt the profundity of Buddha Law conveyed in the performance. “Buddhas and gods emerged onstage, which allow you to perceive the existence of the divine. If you identify with the divine, you will be guided in that direction. Although this is not stressed, it is of the greatest importance.”

Mr. and Mrs. Chen described the performance as peaceful. “After watching the program The Poet’s Vision, we think that we can live our life in a simpler way, and also sense inner serenity.”
