Kings of Leon have topped the UK music charts, the Australian ARIA charts, and the US charts with their number 1 new album Come around Sundown.

The rock band’s much anticipated fifth album sold more than 183,000 copies in the UK, the biggest first week album sales of the year so far, Sky News reported. In Australia, it made a total of 26,463 sales from physical and digital outlets, and has already received platinum status.

It also broke the all-time record for first week digital album sales with more than 49,000 downloads, according to Sky News.

“I don’t think we had any intention of making the songs more about the night time, but maybe the music we were listening to was inspired by that, or maybe just the fact that we enjoy the nighttime,” frontman Caleb Followill told MTV News.

“I think you want to listen to it whenever you don’t have a lot of stuff going on and you can actually just relax,” he added.

Kings of Leon are currently performing in the United States before heading to Europe to continue their tour.
