Kimber Eastwood: Shen Yun ‘Has such a beautiful message of goodness’

“We certainly love the beautiful costumes and the dancing, and my mom — it’s her birthday — she’s turning 87, and she used to do this kind of dance back in the day, a dance troupe in 50s, 60s.”

“It was definitely different this year, but it’s still a spiritual message which we absolutely love. It seems like they talk about what’s happening in China that they can’t talk about there. So [I] found it very interesting.”

“I don’t think there’s enough spirituality in the world with so much going on, so I think that it’s beautiful message [when] the Buddha comes down and got this incredibly gorgeous gold aura around him. It just brings you back to some spirituality to what I think is lost and forgotten now these days. So it just has such a beautiful message about how goodness, and love, and patience overcome evil and nastiness.”

“We had friends who said, ‘Oh my gosh, we want to see it. We’ve heard so many great things about it.’ My friend Jiji here came from Texas, she came with us, and we have a few friends [who] wanted to come and see it.”

“It’s just a good message. A lot of people need to understand [the importance of] fighting for what you love — right and wrong, and fighting for what you stand for and your country. … It was a great show.”
