Katy Perry Surpasses Eminem on the Singles Chart

Katy Perry’s new single “Teenage Dream” overtook Eminem’s seven-week chart-topping “Love the Way You Lie” as the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 Thursday.

Eminem’s song, which features Rihanna on vocals, fell to No. 2.

Taio Cruz’s single “Dynamite” remained at No. 3, Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are” reached No. 4, and Enrique Iglesias’ “I Like It” fell to No. 5.

Perry’s previous hit “California Gurls” ranked No. 1 for six weeks earlier this summer and is now ranked No. 10.

On Thursday Billlboard said that “Gurls,” which features Snoop Dogg, is the number one song of the summer.
