MEMPHIS, Tenn.—Stan Soltis, owner of Josef’s Jewelers, was in attendance for Shen Yun performing Arts at Memphis’ Cannon Center for the Performing Arts on Jan. 5.
“Great! Very talented,” he said. “I'd never seen it before, so I was very pleasantly surprised. My wife liked it, and my little goddaughter liked it, too.”
“A Shen Yun performance features the world’s foremost classically trained dancers, a unique orchestra blending East and West, and dazzling animated backdrops—together creating one spectacular performance,” reads Shen Yun’s website.
Mr. Soltis took special note of the skill and athleticism manifested by Shen Yun’s dancers. “And the choreography is so good,” he added.
For 60 years under communist rule in China, traditional art forms have been nearly destroyed. “Humanity’s treasure was nearly lost, but through breathtaking music and dance, Shen Yun is bringing back this glorious culture,” reads Shen Yun’s website.
Having been in the jewelry business for over 40 years, Mr. Soltis is no stranger to top-quality treasure, and he found the pricelessness of Shen Yun no exception. “Glad I saw it,” he added. “Very enjoyable.
