The Indigo Girls, Emily Saliers and Amy Ray, have announced they will be releasing a holiday album on Oct. 12.

“Holly Happy Days” features 12 Christmas standards with a twist of the duo’s folk rock style.

Some of the tracks on the new album will include popular fare like “Oh Holy Night” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.”

Plus there are a few lesser known pieces like Mike Burns’ “Peace Child” and Beth Nielsen Chapman’s “There’s Still My Joy,” Reuters reported.

“We just both had a desire to do it at the same time, which doesn’t always happen with us,” Saliers told Billboard.com.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter pair listened to “millions” of Christmas songs.

“We went through everything and started out with a bunch of songs we were super, super excited about,” Saliers said, adding that they had a blast recording the album in Nashville.

“It was maybe the most fun I’ve ever had making a record,” she said, “Loving your job and getting excited every morning to get up and go into the studio. It was a joy.”
