An opportune time to go upstate would be Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, which runs from March 10 to 23. 

To celebrate local food, more than 180 restaurants are participating.

Participating counties include Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, and Columbia. 

No tickets or passes are required, but reservations are encouraged. 

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week features prix-fixe, three-course dinners for $29.95 and lunches for $20.95.
