Hostess is recalling 710,000 cases of snack cakes and donuts, the company announced on June 6.

The products are being recalled after a previous recall from Hostess supplier, Grain Craft, after its flours had an undeclared peanut residue. The cakes and donuts Hostess is recalling were produced using Grain Craft flour, and may have low levels of peanuts, said the company.

Those who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts are at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume products containing peanut allergens, Hostess said.

The company has received reports of two allergic reactions related to the product involved in the recall.

Products affected by the recall include single serve (snack cakes and donuts), multipack boxes, and bagged donuts. Chocodile, Zinger, and donut products are mainly affected.

The full list of recalled products can be found on the FDA’s website.

The items were sold to mass merchandisers, grocery stores, distributors, dollar stores, drug stores, and convenience stores throughout the United States and Mexico.

Hostess is offering a full refund for those who have purchased products specified in the recall who are sensitive or allergic to peanuts.
