Blossom du Jour (BDJ) is a strictly vegetarian fast food eatery, serving trendy and healthy food.

Delicious shakes and smoothies made with fruit, vegetables, and nuts to maximize the nutritional benefit are a popular part of the menu. These drinks can replace a meal or make a wonderful and refreshing snack, particularly on a hot summer day.

Comforting, delicious, and beneficial to your health, the drinks are made with natural, organic, and gluten-free goodies. Once you try them you will feel rejuvenated. Personally I am hooked, and a healthy shake or a smoothie a day has become part of my daily diet.

At BDJ, the wraps, sandwiches, and salads are also made with fresh, organic, and gluten-free ingredients.

The friendly staff is passionate about the philosophy and the food.

Try the Green Giant smoothie ($6.95) with spirulina, spinach, banana, flax meal, orange juice, and soy milk; or the Thrive ($6.95), made with kale, almond butter, pea protein, and a choice of soy or almond milk. Another option is the Coconut Bliss ($6.55), with peanut butter, coconut, flaxseed meal, banana, and soy milk.

The vibrant selection of shakes offers such masterpieces as the Peppermint Pattie ($6.25) or the Blossom Butterfinger ($6.25).

Try having your shake with breakfast or lunch. The Anytime Breakfast Scramble Wrap ($8.25) is a savory tofu scramble with sautéed greens, or the Smokey Avocado Wrap ($8.25) made with avocado, smoked tempeh, tomato, lettuce, and chipotle aioli. Should you desire a burger, try the Sky Scraper ($8.25) made with vegan burger, v-bacon, v-cheese, and a special sauce.

If you are not sure about which dishes to try, ask the friendly and knowledgeable staff.

There are many other healthy goodies on the menu. I hope that you will get hooked the way I did—for your own good!

Blossom du Jour offers TRu Life Juice cleansing programs that are gaining popularity.
