Davis told BuzzFeed News: “As soon as my tears started coming, I saw I had no tissues in my car and knew I was doomed. All of a sudden there were white streaks on my once-tan face. Looking in the mirror, I only began to cry more, and there was absolutely nothing I could do but let the tears roll down my face and completely ruin my spray tan.”
Her friend then suggested that she should tweet a picture of her spray tan. She tweeted a photo out but later deleted it.
Davis said the spray tan washed off in the shower. And the story has a happy ending, as her boyfriend came over and they laughed it off.
She ended up getting another tan and attended her prom.
“I was just a girl with a messed up spray tan, I had no idea this would ever go viral,” she said.
