Gwyneth Paltrow made her country music debut at the 44th CMA Awards last night, alongside other strong artists like hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Kelly Clarkson.

Singing the title track of her upcoming movie Country Strong, with Vince Gill, and strumming an acoustic guitar, Paltrow impressed the crowd with her live performance, ending by closing her eyes and laughing.

Paltrow’s performance earned her a standing ovation. Carrie Underwood said, “It takes a lot to come to our town and sing on our stage,” according to the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert picked up four awards—Best Female Vocalist, Album of the Year for Revolution, and Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year, both for The House that Built Me.

Lady Antebellum and singer Blake Shelton each won two awards. And Taylor Swift became the youngest person ever to win the Country Songwriter of the Year award.
