NEW YORK—Fans of the long running hit series “Friends” from all age groups were spotted eagerly waiting to take selfies and sip on their free coffee cups outside Cafe Perk, Soho.
In order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the debut of the Emmy-winning comedy series.
Warner Bros. Television Group, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and Eight O' Clock coffee joined hands to create a replica of Central Perk, the coffee shop frequently visited by the characters.
Opened for the public today, this coffee bar was packed with fans taking pictures on the famous orange couch.
The store features merchandise that can be bought, such as pins, mugs, and t-shirts.
It also has the costumes that were worn by the cast of “Friends” on display.
The coffee shop will remain open till Oct. 18 and continuing serving free coffee.
