TAIPEI, Taiwan—Shen Yun Performing Arts’ 2011 World Tour has impressed audiences all around the world. Mr. Chen Youwei, former tourism representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York, has long admired Shen Yun’s popularity. He attended Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company’s premiere in Taipei on the evening of April 1. After seeing the show, he exclaimed, "This is a top performance!"

Mr. Chen had just arrived back in Taiwan from the United States, and he knew of Shen Yun from the media in Los Angeles; however, he was so busy he missed the opportunity to watch the Shen Yun performance there. He explained, "I heard a lot about Shen Yun in Los Angeles, but I didn’t go because I was too busy. A friend invited me today, and now I know it’s really good!"

To carry on the authentic, divinely-imparted Chinese culture is Shen Yun’s mission. The New York-based performing arts company brings together first-class dancers, choreographers, vocalists and musicians and presents an all-new program each year. Mr. Chen said, "Our Chinese history and the essence of its dance can all be seen in Shen Yun."

Mr. Chen shared that in his younger years he had learned some dance, saying, "When I was young, I also practiced dancing, but my dancing skill is a far cry from that of Shen Yun performers, as every performer’s dancing skills are exceptionally good. Every one of them is really talented.”

Mr. Chen also praised the solo vocalists. "Wow! Their vital capacity and tone were so wonderful."

"Great, wonderful! This was a top performance, and it made my day," he added. After watching Shen Yun, Mr. Chen stepped out of National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall with a hearty smile. It felt like a perfect ending to a beautiful day.
