“Visually it was absolutely stunning. The special effects were quite extraordinary. The synchronisation between the special effects and the dancers, and the movement of the dancers was beautifully done.”

“[The colours are] glorious! I think that was a very large part of it. It was a visual delight in terms of the colours matching against the backdrop as well. So I think the two things went very well together.”

“[The costumes were] beautifully designed, and I think the colour arrangements were lovely. Also the fact that as the dancers moved, the costumes and the material flowed beautifully. So that worked very well. Most impressive.”

“I was quite enthralled by the whole performance. Also the elegance of the movement of the various dancers and the fact that they were so well coordinated, I think was stunning.”

“I take my hat off to them, because I think it’s important that we in Europe actually understand more about the richness of Chinese culture. I don’t think a lot of people understand enough about it, and what a long, glorious history Chinese culture has. Way before we in Europe and in the West had any kind of civilisation, China had a very high level of culture.”

“I think [Shen Yun portrays] that there is a commonality in terms of humanity and how you actually deal with one another, how you accept difference, and you do not judge but actually support difference. And also a sense that there is a greater being somewhere, and if you believe in that, then you live your life very positively.”

“We’re very lucky here, to have the opportunity to see the company performing, and I wish them every success in the future.”
