TAINAN, Taiwan—Mr. Zou Chunxuan, former Director of the Education Bureau, Pingdong County, and the incumbent principal of National Tainan Girl’s High School, watched the last performance in Tainan of Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company, with colleagues at the Tainan Municipal Cultural Center, on April 15.

Mr. Zou spoke highly of the show, saying, “The first half has been so touching. The synchronicity of the dancing artists’ movements and postures is really amazing.”

Mr. Zou admired the performers’ high quality performance. He was particularly impressed with their facial expressions in the program Herding on the Grasslands. He explained, “The way they came onto the stage was so vivid, as though they had been riding horses. The dancers gazed at the audience with eyes wide open, creating quite a scene.”

He commented on Shen Yun’s unique animated backdrop with its various scenes of blossoming landscapes or celestial paradises: “The backdrop underwent enormous changes, but its coordination with the performance on the stage was exquisite.”

Mr. Zou also enjoyed the solo vocalists, soprano Ms. Jiang Min, singing “Spreading True Words,” and “The Path to Heaven” sung by baritone Mr. Qu Yue.

He said the show’s emcees presented their commentary very well, and that they did a great job referring to local Taiwanese characters, which frequently won enthusiastic applause and laughter from the audience.

Mr. Zou said he appreciated Shen Yun from the standpoint of the arts. “The Shen Yun performance itself represents the value of art, whether it is the singing solos, the backdrops, stage presentation or the connotation that Shen Yun intends to deliver.”

Mr. Zhou concluded by saying that Shen Yun “has outstanding artistic value.”
