Finalists of 2009 Chinese Culinary Competition Announced

Finalists of the NTDTV International Chinese Culinary Competition were announced this evening.

They will collaborate on a 10-course banquet at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers Tuesday night.

Pang-Chuan Liu (Cantonese division)
Chieh-Chung Yu (Huaiyang division)
Ping-Wen Chen (Sichuan division)
Tzu-Min Liu, Tzu-Min (Sichuan division)
Ke Jiang Bi (Shandong division)
Ze Zheng (Shandong division)
Wing Kuen Wong (Cantonese division)
Hua Zhang (Huaiyang division)
Tiger Xue (Huaiyang division)
De Gui Yan (Northeastern division)
Yi Jiang (Sichuan division)

Winners, who will be announced tomorrow night, are awarded in each of the five regional culinary styles of China. Gold winners are awarded a trophy and $10,000; silver a trophy and $3,000; and bronze trophy and $1,000.
