MONTREAL—Shen Yun Performing Arts left the Seifeddine family gushing superlatives after its opening night performance at Place des Arts on Monday night.

Real estate businessman Sami Seifeddine and fashion business woman Amal Seifeddine raved about the performance after taking in Shen Yun’s presentation of classical Chinese dance.

“Beautiful! It’s amazing. It’s really amazing,” said Mr. Seifeddine.

He said the presentation of traditional Chinese culture and the dances that aim to revive China’s 5,000 years of divinely inspired culture were superb.

“The precision, the work of the dance, and the scenery is amazing, unbelievable. Everything is perfect,” he said.

Amal Seifeddine, who attended the show with him, is the owner and president of Linwood Fashions, an importer and distributor of women’s clothing.

She said she was impressed by Shen Yun animated digital backdrops and how they synchronized with the dancers on the stage.

“I thought it was very, very, well done. Very, very, very well done,” she said.

“I love the dancing. I just love the dancing,” she added.

Shen Yun stages mainly classical Chinese dancing, but also folk dances and ethnic dances from China’s diverse ethnicities. Many of the dances are mini-drama pieces that draw on China’s stories and legends.

China is unique among nations because its history has been documented and passed down in uninterrupted detail.

Mr. Seifeddine said the scenery on the backdrops was amazing.

“And how elegant and how graceful the dancers were. It was beautiful,” added Ms. Seifeddine.

“And how beautiful the girls,” he said.

“The girls are beautiful, yes,” she agreed.
