Kapari Natural Resort Location
Kapari Natural Resort is located in Imerovigli, one of the most picturesque settlements of Santorini. Imerovigli is an incredible beautiful place, away from the crowds but still close enough to all the action. This makes it the perfect location to explore the rest of the island.
The hotel is built on the highest point of the cliff overlooking Skaros. The hotel’s private van will pick you up from the airport or port and while you check in on the reception, somebody will bring your luggage to your room. This is a huge thing cause there are - as everywhere in Santorini - lots of steps.
Kapari Natural Resort opened in 2010, before that it was a private family estate with a history of over 300 years. The typical island architecture and luxury design of the entire place is very impressive. The spectacular sea and Caldera views from your room will for sure blow you away, absolutely stunning!
Kapari Natural Resort Welcome
Upon arrival, Konstantina from the reception warmly welcomed us and showed us around the hotel. Later we also met Nico from the reception, he explained us the hotel’s history. Both Konstantina and Nico were very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all our questions patiently.
As a welcome gift, we received a complimentary bottle of local wine and fresh fruit in our room. A great start of our stay; sipping from the wine while admiring the amazing views through our window.
During our stay, the service from the entire staff was outstanding. They all made us feel very welcome in this beautiful place.
Kapari Natural Resort Rooms and Grounds
Kapari Natural Resort features 19 rooms and suites, all offer amazing views over the Caldera. We stayed in a Premium room located just above the pool. The rooms are built in the traditional cave like style with a very luxurious touch.
All rooms have state-of-the-art technology, you can program the temperature, the lighting, the time you want the Jacuzzi heated and much more. Just press the Goodbye button when leaving the room and it switches everything automatically off. By pressing the Welcome button everything is switched on again, very impressive.
The King-size Duxiana bed was very comfortable and I loved the huge Jacuzzi and built-in shower in the bathroom. The room also contained a nice seating area and a small kitchen with mini-bar. I could have spent my entire stay in this fabulous room.
Kapari Natural Resort Dining
Kapari Natural Resort’s breakfast is superb with a wide range of homemade products and eggs made as per you liking. We did not have lunch at Kapari Natural Resort but I can image it is just as excellent as everything else.
Regarding the dinner ... there are not enough superlatives to describe this exquisite experience ... it was without any doubt one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in my life. The highly skilled cook, George, prepares the most delicious food using the finest ingredients. The starter, main course, dessert and wine - recommended by the fabulous waitresses Dora and Alexandra - all tasted heavenly!
Dora and Alexandra made our dining experience an unforgettable one. I’ve heard that in addition to the marvelous Dora and Alexandra, there’s also the fabulous waiter John but unfortunately we did not have the pleasure to meet him during our stay.
Kapari Natural Resort Things to Do
Santorini is a small island so you can pretty much get anywhere easily. The location of Kapari Natural Resort is really unique and you’re only a short walk away from Fira. On you’re way you'll pass one of the most famous churches on Santorini ... the beautiful white blue-domed church in Firostefani.
Kapari Natural Resort is also the perfect starting point of the breathtaking cliff walk to the famous town Oia.
In Imerovigli itself you can hike “Skaros” the ruins of an old Venetian castle. The trip will bring you all the way to the Theoskepasti church built at the edge of the cliff from where you'll enjoy stunning views. It is also a great place to watch the sunset although you can watch the famous sunset as well perfectly from out of the privacy of your room in Kapari Natural Resort.
Reservations for Caldera cruises, wine tours, rim dinners and much more can easily be made at the reception.
