Europe Bids Farewell to Shen Yun Performing Arts
THE HAGUE. Martijn van den Heuvel, a commercial strategist with T-Mobile: Chinese culture, "They have got virtue. One can see that they promote morals and how to live a good life. They promote honesty. Those morals they promote seemed really pure to me." Sevgi Sener-van den Heuvel, a marine account manager at Eurapco: "One really feels as if you were on stage. You can see the action in the background—I didn't expect that! We only expected a dance show. And on top of that they also had humor. The mimics of the dancers and the humor—it was given in a very nice dosage." (Florian Godovits/Epoch Times)

In early March the Shen Yun Performing Arts World Company began its European leg of their 2014 World Tour. Starting in Geneva the company travelled to 16 European cities to present dances, songs and stories that take the audience on a journey through the dynasties and regions of China, with dances showing the heavenly dress of the Tang Dynasty, Manchurian princesses of the 17th century, or the vibrant Yao village.

Shen Yun, a New-York based non-profit company, tours the world, reviving 5,000 years of Chinese culture. Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism are at the heart of Chinese culture, explains the company’s website, and the values of traditional Chinese culture are brought to the stage in Shen Yun’s story-based dances.

Here are some of the European audience members’ photos and responses to their Shen Yun experience.

New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts has four touring companies that perform simultaneously around the world. For more information, visit Shen Yun Performing Arts.

The Epoch Times considers Shen Yun Performing Arts the significant cultural event of our time. We have proudly covered audience reactions since Shen Yun’s inception in 2006.
