YUANLIN, Taiwan—Ecological photographer and owner of Jianmen Ecological Flora and Fruit Garden, Lai Chungyu, watched Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company’s second show in Changhua on the afternoon of April 17. He said with an emotional voice, “This is a very professional performance with deliberate programming. The movements of the dancers are elegant, and every program is very touching.”

His first experience seeing Shen Yu, Lai Chungyu expressed that when the curtain slowly rose, he was awed by the breathtaking initial scene, When the Kings Followed the Creator to the Earth.”

The programs that followed deeply touched his heart, until the final one, The Opening of Heaven’s Gates, which, he felt, was indeed stunning.

He added that every program was amazing, and the colors of the costumes were marvelously bright and beautiful. The gesture and style of dancers were graceful.

The program Manchurian Elegance impressed him very much. He explained, “It is perfectly great, and soothes beyond the ability of language to express.”

“It is very professional in front of and behind the scenes—very carefully produced, including the dances, costumes, music, and stage design. Since every program is interlocked from preparation to presentation, I value its professional, earnestness, and involvement. That is why Shen Yun resonates with so many people,” he said.

Dubbed “Farmer photographer,” Lai Chungyu is not only an ecological photographer, but he is also the fourth-generation owner of Jianmen Ecological Flora and Fruit Garden. He has been dedicated to promoting quality agriculture for years. With his expertise in photography, he has recorded the ecological beauty of rural villages and developed outdoor experiential education which yearly attracts 3,600 people via an industrial-educational collaboration. He won the Agribusiness Award in 2005.
