Is there anything better than guacamole? Don’t bother thinking about the question, because the answer is no, there is not. As far as dips go, guac is the bees knees: it’s delish, full of healthy fat, and looks awesome in a stone bowl.
Ugly, but awesome.
Plus, it’s Mexican; so serving it instantly makes you a chef skilled at international cuisine.
Guac can be hard to make, but this version is not. It’s 5 ingredients and the prep time is 3 minutes.
What you need
- Two avocados
- ¼-1/2 cup Fresh packed store bought salsa (just tomatoes, onions, herbs and sometimes jalapenos)
- Juice of 1 small lime
- Chopped cilantro (I keep a container of chopped cilantro in the fridge at all times as a time saver. I put that s*** on everything and don’t enjoy the hassle of chopping it at every single meal.)
- Sea salt to taste
What you gotta do:
- Mash, mix and eat. Seriously.
- Make sure you put the pit in the bowl if you don’t intend to eat it right away; it helps keep the avocado from browning, as does a healthy squirt of lemon or lime juice.
