KITCHENER-WATERLOO, Ontario—Wednesday was a very special night for Ms. Jacob, a retired English professor. After being ill since last February, this was the first time she was able to go out for an evening.

“It was an absolutely fantastic show, I enjoyed every minute of it,” she said, her best friend from high school, Ms. Attwell, standing by her side.

That show was the final presentation of Divine Performing Arts 2009 World Tour in Circle in the Square Theatre.

“This is our first outing and what a way to start the new year. This says 2009 is going to be a much much better year,” said Ms. Attwell, a marketing manager for a local university, adding that her favourite dance was The Udumbara’s Bloom.

“I absolutely loved it. That was amazing, just amazing,” she added.

“Gorgeous,” she said, describing the show. “I just feel so uplifted right now, it’s beautiful.”

Ms. Jacobs also praised the show.

“The colour, the costuming, it was simple, elegant, and absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed every moment of it.”

She said her favourite piece was the last dance of the show: “Knowing the True Picture Offers Ultimate Hope.”

“It [dance] has it all, everyone comes together at the end and its full of hope and inspiration and I enjoyed that part.”

Divine Performing Arts will now move on to Toronto and begin its seven-show run in Toronto Thursday and perform there until January 14th. For more information visit DivinePerformingArts.org
