PHILADELPHIA—Wladimir Atamanenko, a Russian guitarist, saw Divine Performing Arts Sunday afternoon performance in Philadelphia’s Merriam Theater. He said: “Can you see? All people are smiling, it’s excellent! I’m smiling, you are smiling, and all people are smiling! And the most important thing is, the people will bring this smile back home. Excellent—I think I'll smile all night.”

The former radio engineer and guitarist has worked at different concert halls and has seen countless companies performing: “I met different people from different countries. Chinese, German, Great Britain, and I can say, today I saw one of the best shows I have ever seen.”

He couldn’t decide for a favorite number of the program, but praised especially the beat of the Mongolian Chopsticks: “The Mongolian dance had very good rhythmic, very good syncopes. Very exact and precise.” I like blues, I like jazz, I like rock and roll. The element of a very precise rhythmic is the most beautiful thing.”

The scenery and atmosphere also appealed to the musician: “Good colors, good costumes, and everybody smiling! It’s good energy and good atmosphere! Not only the artists were dancing on the stage—all people were dancing in their soul and smiling—excellent!”
