PASADENA, Calif.—Audience members who witnessed the show were dazzled by the many unique elements of the Divine Performing Arts performance at Pasadena’s Civic Auditorium.
“The show is extremely interesting and very fantastic,” said Mr. Temple, an executive of an entertainment company.
“Watching all of the dance moves that are counter-culture related is a really fascinating process. The costumes are very festive.”
The dancing were not the only part of traditional Chinese culture that Mr. Temple enjoyed.
“It’s interesting just to hear the different sounds and the different themes of the sounds. Seems like there is one underlying tone, that goes through the music and they have variations from each song.”
When asked what was his favorite performance, Mr. Temple replied: “I liked the part of the show where they show more of the scenery, the last scene where they went through the fights. [Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution] Where the guy actually stood up for himself and his family and the Buddhists came down and took him away. That was the most exciting part of the show.”
Mr. Temple went on to share more of his feelings about the show.
“I love Asian culture and I love ballet and opera. It’s a really interesting fit to watch this.“
