PASADENA, Calif. - Ms. Grant, executive director of a non-profit organization for special-needs people, attended a performance of the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) for the second time on Friday. She commented that she enjoyed the artistry of the DPA’s choreography.
“I love the colorful costumes and the movements of the dancers. They are so synchronized and it’s so very dramatic,” she said.
She also enjoyed the “impressive” backdrops and how they helped to tell the stories performed by the dancers.
“It’s very well done, it’s always entertaining. This is my second time coming.”
Ms. Grant’s friend appreciated the unifying theme of peace depicted throughout the show.
“It’s a message of non-violence. This is universal...it’s peaceful,” she said.
“Peace will prevail,” added Ms. Grant.
The show strengthened Ms. Grant’s appreciation for Chinese classical dance.
“It’s always inspiring and it’s beautifully done. They’re so talented.”
