PASADENA, Calif.—Mr. Ranvaska and Ms. Manroy, owners of a business in Long Beach, felt the message of the Divine Performing Arts show so enjoyable that they plan to come back next year.

“I really enjoyed it. It was excellently choreographed, the music was fantastic. I loved the stories—just the ethnicity. The colors were very vivid and beautiful. It was really exciting and fun. I think I am going to come back—I know I am going to come back next year with my wife and family.” Mr. Ranvaska said.

“I loved the beginning, the orchid scene that was sooo beautiful, so nice, so beautiful.”

Ms. Manroy added, “I think it was wonderful, I really appreciated all the colors and the scenery and the performers were amazing.”

She said she found it different from other shows in that there was “the opportunity to learn something about the Chinese culture and their folklore … their music and dances. [There were] a lot of different forms of dancing I was not aware of … I really enjoyed it. All the costumes, the colors, it was very nice.”

Her favorite was Welcoming Spring, “I think it was beautiful.”

What Mr. Ranvaska appreciated most about the show was the spirituality of the stories. “Really, if you listened carefully, you got the meaning and the background of the spiritual content. That is what I really enjoyed most …. The show’s deeper meanings left an awareness for a spiritual understanding of Chinese culture and life.

“I liked the way they presented Buddha and the significance of prayer and how it makes you feel more balanced and centered with your life.”
