‘A reminder of how we truly are, in essence’

“Through dance, through spirit, through reminder, through ease, through happiness, and I think all of that is incorporated in this moment, in this art, emotion. I go to another place when I’m watching. ... It’s beautiful.”

JACKSONVILLE, Florida—Ms. Lea attended the Divine Performing Arts show at the Times Union Performing Arts Center on Dec. 26 and commented afterwards that she got much more than she expected and had enormous praise for the show.

“I have a really big passion for Asian culture, a lot of cultures actually—I can’t really say just Asian—but I definitely think that the colors, the passion, the spirituality, the message, all of that is such a big contribution to the arts and to the way of life, the way of humanity, and I think it’s a really big picture on how we should be, and a reminder of how we truly are, in essence.

“Through dance, through spirit, through reminder, through ease, through happiness, and I think all of that is incorporated in this moment, in this art, emotion. I go to another place when I’m watching. ... It’s beautiful.”
