WASHINGTON, D.C.—On Feb. 15, the last Divine Performing Arts (DPA) show at the Kennedy Arts Center in Washington D.C. concluded successfully. Over six days and seven shows, D.C. residents, including overseas Chinese, were touched by the DPA’s brilliant performances.

Mr. Long, a computer engineer from Jiangxi Province who attended the show on the February 15, said that the DPA’s performance was pure, flawless, and shows hope for the future of China.

Mr. Long said, “This is the first time I saw such a great presentation of traditional Chinese culture. The dancers’ technique is at a very high level. These performers have both a Chinese background and a Western education, and are the hope for the next generation.”

“These people have not been fooled like the children in mainland China. They are pure and unpolluted.”

He  pointed out that it is a sad thing that all the theatrical performances in mainland China are tools of propaganda. “Culture and art should not be used for singing praise to a political party. In mainland China, one can only see corruption and decline.”

“Mainland China is becoming very disappointing; everything good has vanished, “said Mr. Long. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has deliberately been controlling television and the Internet, resulting in distorted views in the minds of the people. They are still putting up facades to cover the truth.”

Mr. Long feels that if people have the ability to distinguish between right and wrong, they can be resistant to getting wrong (false) information. However, the CCP has so changed the mindset of  the people that they are not able to distinguish right from wrong anymore, but trust any piece of information given to them by the CCP.

“This is a national crisis; isn’t it frightening that people are losing their ability to think? The CCP is trying to rule over people as if they were pigs,” he said.

“However, here I see a group of thoughtful, mindful people who are not under the control of the CCP. These dancers, male and female alike, are the unpolluted generation and the hope for the future of China.”
