DENVER—Divine Performing Arts (DPA) had its final performance at the Buell Theatre, Denver Performing Arts Complex on Saturday, Jan. 31 as part of its 2009 World Tour.

Denise, a watercolorist, loved the show. She loved the details and the overall picture painted on the stage by the backdrop, the stories, and the performers and their costumes. “I loved it. It was beautiful, it was colorful, and I liked all of it,” she said.

“I loved the use of the fabrics that were used in the costumes. The choreography was done beautifully, because it went from very soft to very exciting, to very calm.”

“I thought it was a delight, it was very … it was visually … it was so bright and so full, but that was wonderful. It was good that way.”

She particularly liked the caliber of the performers and their ability to draw the audience into the performance and be moved by the experience.

“The performers, you could see the look on their faces as they brought it to you. I was surprised that it wasn’t just dance, it was also drum. It was stories throughout. I didn’t expect that, it was wonderful.”

Denise thought the spiritual aspect of the performances was inspiring, encouraging the audience to be truthful and compassionate in their lives.

“For me personally, I thought it [the performance] was heartfelt because I think that it brought a lot of the truth and the compassion, the way we walk our lives, the way we walk our journeys. ... So I think the spiritual is a very important part of it all.”

Ms. Mazzoni, a consultant, also loved the show, valuing the spiritual awareness and the inspiration to be truthful ... the acceptance.

“I liked it in all the ways that she did [referring to Denise] and a bit more. It was very ... awesome, and profound ... I got the spiritual intention of all of it, and that was wonderful.”

“The fact that knowing the truth or being in a purposeful way, releases all pain from our lives and that there is right order, if we are willing to acknowledge it. All things are purposeful and right and everything works together for good and all is well.”

“And the hope idea, the idea that in truth there is indeed hope.”

“I just appreciate that it was done so well. I’m so pleased that I saw it and was able to participate in it.”
