DENVER—Media couple Mr. Tulsa & Ms. Verde saw the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) at the Buell Theatre at the Denver Performing Arts Complex on Jan. 31 and were inspired by the content.

“I liked it very, very much,” said Ms. Verde, who also runs a “life skills” business with her husband in Boulder. “I teach things such as connection to the divine, seeing things in a new way, and new ways to live.”

Ms. Verde loved the dance titled The Mystical Phoenix, commenting on the “wonderful colours—and very graceful dance,” but was particularly taken with the content of the show.

“One of the things I really liked about this show tonight was the fact that there was a philosophic message—that was really grand,” she said.

“It would really seem to reflect the Divine nature, the fact that there’s a need for people to walk according to higher principles.”

Ms. Verde believes that adhering to higher principles will bring “a sense of happiness and a sense of wellbeing.” She looked around at the audience in the theatre by way of example, “for instance if you were interviewing people tonight, they would definitely be focusing on that fact,” she said adding, “How wonderful it is to bring us and consciousness together.”

Commenting on the opening scene of the show, The Five Millennia Begin, which depicts the descent of gods to the earth, and knowing of the growing numbers of people leaving the Chinese Communist Party, Ms. Verde linked the two saying, “I read that they were happy leaving that [the Party]. So that’s the Divine descending,” she said.

Ms. Verde also said she was touched by the spiritual component in the show, commending the DPA for embracing such content and praising the sensitivity they had shown in addressing it through their performances.

“It was a question of the message of the divine to people ... how the divine is coming back. I thought that was wonderful, beautiful.”
.
“You know, people are talking about waking up and connections, the higher purpose of life and the coming gods ... I think the company did a wonderful job to really stress this and convey this message.”

“It was very nice.”
