SAN DIEGO—The audience at the final San Diego performance of the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) International Company’s show on Sunday Dec. 28 at San Diego’s Civic Theatre cherished the opportunity to see such a performance.

Karim Lopez, a high school student from Vista California saw the DPA performance with his sister Damayanti and mother Rosario. They all thoroughly enjoyed the rich spirit of five thousand years in one exhilarating show.

Mr. Lopez said, “I thought the show was really interesting. It was the first time I have been seeing something like this and I thought it was really nice. I liked the dance and the choreography. It was amazing and really interesting.”

Ms. Reyes, Karim’s sister who works for an accounting firm said, “The show is beautiful, and the most beautiful about it are the colors, the vibrancy, and I like the beat of the drums and also the music.”

“I feel the show is very authentic, and I have never seen a show like this before. We usually go to see folkloric shows, but this is a whole different feel, I can’t even describe it. It’s calmer, it’s peaceful. It’s almost as if they are flying.”
