KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan—Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company premiered at the Sun Yat-sen Hall of National Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung on April 6. The performers’ dancing skills and dynamic backdrops were highly praised by the full-house audience. Ms. Li-Shu Huang, deputy general manager of Universal Culture Television, said after watching the show, “This is splendid! I am all eyes, and it leaves me with an endless after-glow.”
Ms. Huang praised the performance, saying, “The backdrops, music effects, lighting, animations, and the musical fusion of Eastern and Western instruments are so splendid.” She also praised the harmonization of the colors of the costumes, calling them “very elegant, totally unique.” In particular, she was amazed by the dynamic backdrops and exclaimed, “Absolutely magical! How could computer animations be so realistic? I was all eyes.”
In addition to classic Chinese dance, Shen Yun displays the magnificence of 5,000-year-old Chinese culture. Ms. Huang was touched by the Shen Yun artists’ postures and movements, saying they were really graceful and elegant. She explained, “The blend of dance and drama, coupled with the lively performance, really touched my heart. It can educate people and purify their spirits, so it is of great help to one’s body and mind.”
