Cookie gifts for the holidays may seem old-fashioned, but it is surely a welcome addition as a stocking stuffer.

Here is a simple yet tasty version of the classic oatmeal cookie recipe:

You will need:

-Two sticks of butter, softened (put it out on the kitchen counter for an hour—its hard to use a cold stick of butter)
-A cup of firmly packed brown sugar (can be organic)
-A half-cup of granulated (cane is best) sugar
-Three cups of rolled oats
-A cup of raisins
-Two eggs
-A cup and a half of flour
-A teaspoon of baking soda

First, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together, except for flour, oats, and raisins. Then, when it is properly mixed, stir in the flour, oats, and raisins.

Scoop the dough in rounded tablespoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Place them around two or three inches apart.

In the preheated oven, bake them for 9 minutes to 11 minutes until light brown.

Take the cookies from the oven and let them cool down and immediately remove the cookies from the cookie pan, otherwise they will overcook.

With the rest of the mixture, repeat until you'd used up all your cookie dough.
